Tom Warnecke (PgDip, ECP) is a psychotherapist, supervisor, artist and writer who trained in Gestalt Therapy and with David Boadella in Biosynthesis.
His work is grounded in psychodynamic and psychophysiological perspectives and he developed a relational-somatic approach to Borderline trauma. Besides his psychotherapy and supervision practice, he works internationally as tutor, lecturer or facilitator for various psychotherapy and supervision diploma courses.
His publications focus on challenging aspects of psychotherapy such as Eros and sexuality, complex conditions, as well as ethical and socio-political discourse, and include the book ‘The Psyche in the Modern World – Psychotherapy and Society‘ (Karnac 2015). He is also a co-editor for the international Body, Movement and Dance in Psychotherapy journal, a member the Executive Committee and the Governing Board of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), and a former Vice Chair for the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
